What is Volunteer Staff ?About our volunteer staff
KRM events are created not only by the organizers, but together with the volunteer staff who lend a hand on the day.
At a meeting where more than 100 Roadsters gather, a great many helping hands are needed for reception, vehicle guidance and much more.
No special qualifications or experience are required.
"I love Roadsters." "I am curious about what happens behind the scenes." "I would like to make more friends." If any of that sounds like you, we would love to have you.
Please come and experience the sense of achievement that comes from seeing rows of Roadsters from the side that builds them - a feeling quite different from enjoying the event as a participant.
What You'll DoWhat we will ask you to help with
There are roles like these on the day.
Your actual assignment is given on site to match the situation on the day, so no advance preparation is needed.
Reception
You will help with participant reception and check-in. We have a dedicated check-in system, so if you can use a smartphone you will be fine. You are the face of the event, the first to say "Hello!" to each participant.
Vehicle guidance and lineup
You will guide the Roadsters entering the venue to their parking spots. Watching colorful Roadsters line up beautifully under your direction may be the most picture-perfect role of all.
Setup and teardown
Helping build the venue: putting up tents and signs, and clearing everything away at the end. If you are good at physical work, you are very welcome. There is a real sense of unity in doing it all together.
Photography and records
Helping record the event in photos and video. Perfect for anyone whose hobby is photography. Your shots go on to appear on the official site and the blog.
Floater (anything goes)
A free position that rushes to wherever hands are short. You get to experience many different posts, so it is a good fit for first-timers too.
Proper breaks, too
You will not be working the whole time. We take breaks in turns, so you can enjoy the event itself at a relaxed pace.
ScheduleA rough outline of the day
-
Meet up (a little earlier than the general participants)
The exact meeting time and place will be sent to you by email by the day before the event.
-
Morning briefing and role assignment
All of the staff meet, and we go through the flow of the day and your assignment. Please ask about anything you are unsure of.
-
Helping out during the event
You help at your own post. We take breaks in turns, so you can enjoy the event as well.
-
Teardown and farewell
We tidy up together and then head home. Please come and share the feeling of a job well done.
FAQFrequently asked questions
Can I take part even if I do not own a Roadster?
Yes, of course. You are very welcome whether you have no car at all or a car other than a Roadster. Please let us know how you will be coming on the application form.
This is my first time volunteering. Will I be all right?
You will be fine. Experienced staff will support you, and none of the work is difficult. First-timers are especially welcome. We have also prepared a "Beginner's Volunteer Guide" with illustrated notes on the flow of the day, what to wear and points to note.
Can I choose my role?
We ask about the roles that interest you on the application form, but your actual assignment is given on site to match the situation on the day. We would be grateful if you could stay flexible.
Can I join partway through, or leave early?
Please talk to us. If you write the hours you can manage, such as "I can join from the afternoon", in the notes field of the application form, we will work around it.
What happens after I apply?
You will receive a confirmation email once you have applied. After that, we will email you the details such as the meeting time and what to bring by the day before the event.
