Why "Tetsujin Plaza"?
The stage for our main event is the plaza before the giant "Tetsujin-28" monument in Nagata-ku, Kobe. This location holds a special meaning for us.
The Tetsujin-28 statue was erected as a symbol of recovery from the 1995 Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, carrying the hopes of many. Meanwhile, our beloved Mazda Roadster was born in 1989, just as Japan was entering a new era.
By bringing together "Tetsujin," a symbol of Kobe's resilience, and the "Roadster," a car that has driven through the ages, we aim to express a hope that connects the past to the future and to share our city's vibrant spirit. That is why we continue this event.
