🎃 A special meeting on Halloween night, where the night view of Kobe meets the Roadster

About This EventAbout the Event

A spring dusk on the Kobe port side, welcomed together with
more than 120 Roadsters from 27 prefectures across Japan —
that special time is coming back to Kobe this autumn.

"Jewel of Kobe" is an event for sharing with friends
that special moment when a sky steeped in sunset
turns slowly to indigo and, one by one, the lights
of the city begin to come on.

This time we gather on October 31.
On Halloween itself, the port town is a little livelier than usual.
In the clear autumn air, a night view that grows brighter as the sun goes down
should sparkle like a jewel even more than it did in spring.

Feel the sea breeze and the pleasure of open air, and
let's enjoy autumn in Kobe together.

FAQFrequently Asked Questions

Q.Does applying guarantee me a place?
General entry this time (123 cars) is decided by lottery.
Applying is an entry into the lottery, so your place is not confirmed at that point.

Applications are open from 10:00 AM on Friday, September 4, 2026 to 8:00 PM on Saturday, September 19.
We draw the lottery after the deadline and, on Wednesday, September 23 (public holiday),
we email the result to everyone, whether they were selected or not.
If you are selected, your place is confirmed once you pay the participation fee.

Payment only becomes necessary after you have been selected.
So please go ahead and enter - there is nothing to lose!
Q.Can I pay the participation fee by credit card?
Yes, you can pay by credit card.
You may choose either a card payment or a bank transfer.

The card brands we accept are as follows.
Visa Mastercard American Express JCB Diners Club Discover

Q.It would be my first time taking part. Is that all right?
Of course it is!
At the last Jewel of Kobe, about half of everyone taking part was there for the first time.
We received a great many comments along the lines of "It's my first time, lovely to meet you all!"

Coming on your own, or travelling from far away, is just as welcome.
All of our staff will give you a warm welcome, so please come along without hesitation.

Meeting other people who love the Roadster is
one of the real joys of this event.
We hope you make plenty of new friends!
Q.What is the schedule on the day, and what about entry times?
Before the event, we email everyone who has been selected with
their arrival time, a map of the surrounding area and other details.

As last time, we plan to spread entry across several time slots
in order to ease congestion.
Please wait for your information email to find out which slot is yours.

Please note that while there are time restrictions on cars entering and leaving,
people are free to come and go!

Do wander around the area during the event and make the most of the city of Kobe.
Q.Can I leave partway through the event?
Because the event is held in an area busy with tourists, the police have
instructed us firmly that vehicles must not leave partway through, as a rule.

If circumstances leave you no choice, please always speak to a member of staff first.
You will then be seen out with our marshals and security staff in attendance.
Q.Is it all right to come from far away?
You are more than welcome!
Last time, people joined us from 27 prefectures across the country, from Tohoku all the way to Kyushu.

This is a special event where Roadsters can gather
amid the beautiful night view of the Kobe port side.
We would love you to make the journey!
Q.I'm wondering about the age range. Can anyone take part, whatever their age?
There is no age limit, and first-timers are very welcome!
People from their twenties to their sixties take part with us.

In this lottery we also plan to give thought to how the places are allocated,
so that a wide range of generations can join in.

If you love the Roadster,
that on its own is quite enough. Please go ahead and enter!
Q.The number of passengers with me may change
If anything changes, please let us know by replying to your confirmation email.
We ask about this simply to get a rough idea of how many people will be attending.

On your own or with passengers, either is of course perfectly fine.
Family members arriving separately by train are very welcome too!
We hope you all enjoy Kobe to the full!
Q.My license plate is going to change
If your license plate changes, please
let us know the new number.
We use it to check you in on the day.

Q.My car is modified. Can I still take part?
There is no problem at all, as long as it stays within Japanese safety standards (road-legal).

We do turn away illegally modified vehicles - non-compliant exhausts,
improper lighting, illegal ride height and the like -
but modifications that stay within road-legal limits are very welcome.
Q.Can I take part as a volunteer?
Thank you for offering!
Our volunteers are
valued friends who help us build KRM's events together.

Volunteers have a different arrival time from general participants.
If we ask you to help, we will send your arrival time and role in a separate email.

If there are more offers than we can accept,
we may make a selection ourselves, taking into account where you live and other factors.
We ask for your understanding in advance.

We are sincerely grateful for all of your help!
Q.What happens if there is an accident or trouble during the event?
For accidents or disputes between participants, we ask that
they be resolved between the parties involved.
The organizers (KRM) cannot accept any liability whatsoever,
and we ask for your understanding in advance.

Just in case, we strongly recommend taking out voluntary vehicle insurance.

In an emergency, please speak to a member of the venue staff, or
call the police on 110.
Q.How should I look after my valuables?
The area around the venue is one where large numbers of ordinary tourists come and go.

While your car is on display with the roof open, the interior is in plain view.
Please do not leave valuables lying around the seats.

We recommend either locking your valuables in the boot
or carrying them with you.

The organizers cannot accept responsibility for theft or loss.
Please look after your valuables yourself.

If there is anything else you are unsure about, please feel free to get in touch.
